The Electric Zoo Music Festival looks to REGAL for Evacuation Planning & Analysis

Baltimore, MD, July 2013 – REGAL is pleased to share that they have been awarded a contract to support Made Events with the upcoming 2013 Electric Zoo Music Festival. The festival is being held over Labor Day Weekend on Randall’s Island in New York City.

Utilizing the REGAL EVAC Simulation Tool, the team will support production managers, event planners, stake holders, emergency managers and first responders with emergency and operational planning for the 5th annual Electronic Music Festival. REGAL will perform several analyses and provide recommendations, reports, as well as 2D and 3D visualizations that can be utilized for crowd management, operational decisions and training exercises for the event staff. Additionally, REGAL will be producing an evacuation video to inform the spectators how to safely leave the area in the event of an emergency.

The Electric Zoo is New York's premiere electronic music festival and is a 3 day event being held August 30th through September 1st. It will take place at Randall’s Island Park in New York City, which is located along the East River between Manhattan, Queens and the Bronx. The festival will feature 2 Main Stages and will also have 3 additional stages strategically placed over the 24 acres. With expanded festival grounds, this year’s event will be the biggest over their 5 year history. As this event gains popularity and continues to grow, REGAL looks forward to working with Made Events to continue these efforts.
