In the fall of 2010, REGAL teamed up with the Baltimore Ravens & The Maryland Stadium Authority to develop an emergency evacuation plan. Utilizing REGAL Evac, a full analysis was conducted which included several scenarios based on weather factors as well as emergency incidents throughout the venue.
On Sunday, November 17, 2013 the Ravens were playing the Bears at Chicago's Soldier Field when a tornado in the area forced an immediate evacuation, requiring thousands of fans to shelter in the concourse areas of the stadium.
This evacuation incident raised some questions directed at M&T Bank Stadium officials regarding their plans and preparation for such an event. In the video below, you'll see the stadium officials discussing these plans and showcasing REGAL visualizations that were delivered as part of the REGAL Evac analysis.
